I had the pork chop which was excellent. My buddy had the prime rib which was not bad. But the ladies were not so lucky. My wife had prime rib salad which she described as inedible and our firend had a burger that had a lot of stuff on it but very little meat.

Tulsa Rib Company in Orange does indeed hold its own, and I might consider it the best OC option for BBQ.

Overall, I don’t think I will be in hurry to return. I can see why so many people come here, given that it is in a historic part of town and the prices are more than reasonable

I recently found this restaurant randomly on the web and once I saw what was on their menu I really wanted to try out their dessert. I tried the Flan de Naranja, and it was by far the best flan I have ever had.

The Abbey has great food and nice history and ambiance. It is such a pleasure to get out of the “everyone and every restaurant look alike” environment of Newport Beach and find that there is real charm in other places in Orange County.
